On December 17, 2025, the Association of Ibero-American Geological and Mining Services (ASGMI) will participate in the Multisectoral Dialogue Day for the Social Acceptance of the Raw Materials Sector, organized by the Iberian Sustainable Mining Cluster (ISMC) in Madrid.
This event will bring together institutional representatives, public administrations, companies, European bodies, and international organizations to analyze the current challenges of the mining sector and the opportunities linked to sustainability, governance, and social acceptance. The event serves as a key platform to strengthen dialogue between Europe and Ibero-America and to advance towards more sustainable, inclusive mining development models aligned with the global ecological transition.
ASGMI will participate in Session I — EU–Ibero-America Cooperation and New International Mining Agenda, focused on progress in international cooperation and the strategic role of Ibero-America in building more resilient and sustainable raw materials value chains. In this context, the presentation entitled “The Role of ASGMI in EU–Ibero-America Geoscientific Cooperation for a Strategic and Sustainable Supply of Critical Raw Materials” will be delivered, highlighting the Association’s commitment to scientific governance that strengthens strategic autonomy, sustainability, and equity in access to geological resources.
