XXIX ASGMI General Assembly: The Role of the Geological Surveys in the Energetic and Ecological Transition

The XXIX ASGMI Ordinary General Assembly will take place from April 8th to April 12th, 2024 with the main topic “The Role of the Geological Services in the Energetic and Ecological Transition”. The event, organized by the Mexican Geological Survey (SGM) in collaboration with the ASGMI Secretariat, will be held in Pachuca del Soto (Hidalgo, Mexico) but can be followed virtually through the zoom platform by connecting through the following link:

Roundtable discussions will take place on April 9th, 10th and 11th in order to discuss the role of the geological surveys in the energetic and ecological transition in the different ASGMI regions. There will also be lectures by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) and the Geological Survey of Canada (GSC). On April 9th there will also be a presentation on the state of progress of the Map of Critical Minerals of Latin America.

Presentations will begin on April 9th at 15:00 (GMT). The start time of the General Assembly depending on time zones is as follows:

  • Pachuca de Soto, Mexico City, Managua: 9:00
  • Quito, Bogotá, Lima: 10:00
  • La Paz, Caracas, Washington D.C., Ottawa: 11:00
  • Brasilia, Buenos Aires, Santiago de Chile: 12:00
  • Lisbon, London, Dublin: 16:00
  • Madrid, Paris, Oslo, Stockholm: 17:00
  • Helsinki: 18:00
